Governance

Responsible corporate governance

We are aware that our company has a responsibility not only to its owners and employees, but also to society and industry – beyond the borders of Austria. Our energy storage facilities are part of the critical infrastructure and make a significant contribution to the secure energy supply in Central Europe.

As a responsible company, we make an important economic contribution to domestic value creation – through reliable tax and levy payments to the Republic of Austria, through investments in research and development, and through regional procurement wherever possible.

Our actions are based on our corporate principles and the management guidelines derived from them, our code of conduct and other guidelines, in particular on corporate governance, compliance and integrity. These frameworks guide our decisions and ensure responsible and compliant behavior throughout the company.

Responsibility towards employees, key stakeholders, society, the environment and the climate is an integral part of our corporate decision-making processes. Award criteria for investments and expenditure are therefore not based solely on economic considerations, but also take social, ecological and safety-related aspects into account.

We are fully committed to respecting, protecting, and promoting internationally recognized human rights. Our due diligence process serves to systematically identify, assess, and manage potential adverse impacts along the value chain. It is aligned with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, is continuously further developed, and feeds into the identification of our material sustainability topics as part of our ongoing analyses.

We also place great importance to long-term, stable business relationships with our contractual partners and suppliers. These are characterized by fairness, integrity, correctness and transparency. Our decisions are transparent and communicated openly. We are committed to free and fair competition and to complying with all legal requirements for the prevention of bribery and corruption.

All of this is anchored in our corporate principles and forms the foundation of our governance and corporate culture.

The responsible ESG working group has defined specific targets and initiated actions designed to ensure a continuous improvement process. We will report on their implementation and progress in the 2026 Sustainability Report.
