Sustainability information from RAG
In February 2025, the European Commission presented the so-called Omnibus Initiative, which, among other things, provides for higher thresholds for sustainability reporting requirements for EU companies. As things stand at present, RAG Austria AG will continue to be exempt from mandatory reporting, as has been the case up to now.
Regardless of this, we are continuing on our path and are committed to transparent and responsible communication of our sustainability activities. With the information presented here, we reaffirm our goal of anchoring sustainable management in our corporate processes and providing our stakeholders with insights into our progress.

Reporting 2025
In April 2026, RAG Austria AG published its official voluntary sustainability report for the 2025 financial year. As RAG will no longer be subject to the mandatory sustainability reporting requirements, we have made a conscious decision to apply the VSME standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed small and medium-sized enterprises) recommended by the EU Commission. By using this voluntary standard, we continue to ensure transparency and comparability for our stakeholders and create a consistent basis for voluntary sustainability reporting by all companies that are no longer subject to reporting requirements under the Omnibus Regulation. This report enables us to highlight sustainable developments in an even more targeted manner and provide you with insight into our achievements and progress.
Sustainability reports
RAG Austria AG voluntarily published its first sustainability report in 2018. Since then, reports validated by an external agency have been published at regular intervals. The current sustainability report covers the 2025 financial year.
