Our contribution
For many years, RAG Austria AG has been committed to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through our core competencies and our sustainable corporate orientation, we want to make a positive contribution to the following SDGs.
Our contribution: We promote prevention, safety, and a healthy working environment through holistic health management. Our health program offers annually changing thematic focuses and initiatives to ensure low-threshold access to medical examinations and consultations. We raise awareness of physical and mental health through a wide range of offers and programs.
Our contribution: We promote the continuous development of our employees through targeted training and further education measures. A modern learning management system and a wide range of development opportunities enable equal learning and growth opportunities for all. In doing so, we attach great importance to strengthening professional and leadership skills as well as the responsible use of new technologies. Regular exchange formats and training courses promote an open and learning-oriented corporate culture.

Our contribution: As a responsible employer and regional client, as well as a research and cooperation partner for universities and companies, we contribute to value creation in Austria and Central Europe and ensure the development and maintenance of technical and scientific expertise and know-how in energy and decarbonisation technologies.
Our contribution: With our safe and resilient facilities, we ensure security of supply in Austria and Central Europe and invest in infrastructure to store and provide renewable energies seasonally, in large volumes and throughout the year.
Our contribution: RAG strives to use resources as efficiently as possible, minimize adverse environmental impacts at storage facilities, consider the entire life cycle when procuring products, and contribute to raising awareness of sustainability issues in the supply chain. By creating large-volume hydrogen storage facilities, we are also enabling the establishment and expansion of the hydrogen economy and the year-round, low-emission use of hydrogen as a fuel and raw material.
Our contribution: We will contribute to climate protection through our research projects on the storage and conversion of renewable energy, with the long-term goal of achieving climate-neutral operation of our plants.
Our contribution: For many years, RAG has been entering into cross-industry partnerships with renowned companies and research institutions. The aim is to develop forward-looking technologies with the vision of enabling the production, conversion, storage and use of green gas – especially in the form of hydrogen – worldwide.
